“Curious Feeling flower” — Paper sculpture — paper and acrylic, canvas and embroidery on back.

“This feeling flower grows in the garden of curiosity. It is a sculpture created from fragments of paper that originate from the very beginning of my universe: cut-out pages from posters, postcards, and test prints marked by damage, sketches, and notes.

This feeling flower carries something kind and cute in a way, something deeply curious and naive. It represents a time I value, a time that reminds me to act upon some of the things I feel and sense.

It’s long, curious arms twist and reach out, exploring, wondering, and allowing themselves to slip through the tiny hidden places where the large stem cannot always go.

They wind up and down around the stem, where all the nourishment flows. A blooming feeling flower of faith, naivety, hope, and curiosity spreads and nourishes the garden.”
